Why Did We Establish 3C Consult?

Most organizations that implement Siebel CRM solutions are doing so for the first time. Their managers and internal teams benefit greatly by working with experts who have tried it all many time before, and who are able to guide everyone involved through the transformation process.

Many Siebel system integrators have access to technically skilled people and are able to configure Siebel solutions in a number of interesting ways. However, very few have the resources necessary to transform business problems and processes into a standard, industry-specific Siebel functionality. Some managers feel their Siebel projects have taken too long to implement and that outcomes have been less than satisfactory. The consultant’s perspective:

Freelancers often find it difficult to keep abreast of the latest product developments. They also feel pressured when a contract is about to end and it’s time to find another. For these reasons, they sometimes accept assignments they do not feel comfortable with. Furthermore, agents often take 20 to 30% of the consultant’s fee without ever offering any help or support. It's obvious that these agents are in the market for themselves and have little commitment to professional development, continuity and excellence of service.

At 3C we take a different approach. We are working to create the best network for Siebel consultants in Europe. Our consultants are among the top 10% in the market and can expect to be involved in high-end projects. They are treated like consultants in big companies such as IBM, HP, and Accenture, and, as such, have an e-mail exchange server, business cards, and status meetings with colleagues. They also have a network of consultants to call upon if there are problems, and the opportunity to assist each other whenever the need arises. The hassles of the job market are largely eliminated since the 3C sales team makes sure new assignments are lined up when the current one ends.

We arrange training, coaching and certification, and have status as an Oracle preferred partner, with access to all the help Oracle has to offer. At the same time, consultants have the freedom of being independent. For example, a consultant will be able to take time off while the 3C sales team plans the next assignment in accordance with expressed preferences and career objectives.

We do not do this for free. We take a 25% commission, but at the same time make sure our rates are higher than those freelancers can secure on their own. Our consultants should expect to earn a minimum of 100-120€ per hour after our mark-up. There will be situations where we can charge more if an individual is promoted as an "expert service," but even when that is not the case, we should be able to offer above-average rates, not to mention the security of long-term employment. This will allow consultants to benefit financially and improve their skills, and help create a better work environment.
